Creo que este señor nos da muchas claves para liderar el cambio o la “revolución” como dice él, cada uno dentro de nuestras posibilidades.

He is reasonable fine, apart from his amazing skills to paint so “fast”
But, dispite his criticism to the stablished way of educate children, he is not focused at giving new ideas to the right way of educate.
I don´t completely agree about teacher leasons are boring. I attemped to some amazing clases waked up my brain in subjects I never thought I could be interested. But for that one teacher need to master the subjet, and this use not to happen very often.
In that way, general normal teachers should not give master speechs they are not prepare for, but their main ocupation should be lead and guide their kids education. Kids should learn to educate themselves, at least most time of their education. We must help them, not kidnap them into classes with boring academic slang none use outside the academic world, and proved to be useless.

I’m not sure if the idea here is to write in English or Spanish, but anyway… I believe there are two important things in the video (or at least two I mostly agree with): first, the claim that the educational system follows a design that reflects a set of ideas that were important during the Industrial Revolution (though perhaps not that much nowadays) and second, the claim that education sometimes equals deterioration of those aptitudes we were born with (keep in mind I’m not saying this is always the case). That said, I do believe we are living in a different age, in which values are different and to which we have to adapt. It is not that difficult then to understand that the educational system may have to change too and adjust to this age. If not, then maybe our students’ education will deteriorate instead of improving. So, the real question is, how are we going to adapt and adjust? Because opinions differ from one teacher to another, and even more from one government to another or from one country to another. I think the real problem here is that we do not really know how to face all the changes that are working around us and how to agree on what to do about them. So we just perpetuate the system we know, which is, of course, easier for us.
Perhaps a generation brought up by another generation that comes from fear of war or dictatorship, can attend to this educational system passive, yet creativity fails to disappear. Generation “Y”, to whit we are teaching these days, has no complex rebelling against this system and I think they are showing us. It is a fearless generation, teaching us to be bold and detach ourselves from our complex. They obviously have great potential but it is also true that we must teach them to use it, so that without losing sight of their creativity, together we can carry out an educational paradigm shift to make teaching a lifelong process and adapted to all without standardizations.

Para los que no sepan inglés…
Quizás una generación educada por otra generación que viene del miedo de una guerra o una dictadura, pueda asistir pasiva a este sistema educativo, y aun así la creatividad no llega a desaparecer. La generación “Y” a la que estamos enseñando en estos días, no tiene ningún complejo de rebelarse a este sistema y creo que así lo están demostrando. Es una generación sin miedo que nos está enseñando a ser valientes y a desvincularnos de nuestros complejos. Es evidente que tienen un gran potencial pero también es verdad que hay que enseñarles a utilizarlo, de manera tal que sin perder de vista su creatividad, juntos podamos llevar a cabo un cambio en el paradigma educativo, para poder hacer de la enseñanza un proceso permanente y adaptado a todos, sin estandarizaciones.

Más de lo mismo, la exclusividad y preeminencia que se le ha dado en las escuelas a la inteligencia académica, que es estupendo tenerla, pero existen otras que también hay que desarrollar. Y todo esto analizado por este señor, que según parece, va sobrado en inteligencia académica y parece que también ha desarrollado otras, porque mira que es ameno!!!
Considero que en parte tiene razón, pero veo muchas preguntas, que quizás es el primer paso, pero muy pocas respuestas…
